DAY 1. Seoul : Welcome to Seoul
Welcome to Seoul, the city that never sleeps. Your guide will greet you as soon as you come out of the baggage claim area and will dtrive you to N Seoul Tower: one of the representative landmarks and multi-cultural venues in Seoul. Then we will pay a visit to Namsan Hanok Village to witness the authentic Korean tradition architecture with your own eyes. Afterwards, you will be transfered to the hotel for check-in.
DAY 2. Seoul your trip
After a restful night’s sleep, we will depart early for beautiful Geyongbokgung Palace. As onf of the UNESCO World Heritage site, Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful, and remains the largest of all five palaces. Next, we move to another UNESCO World Heritage site: Gyeongbokgung Palace. It served as a principal palace for many Joseon kings and was the second royal villa built after the Gyeongbokgung Palace in 1405. The grounds are comprised of a public palace area, a royal family residence building, and the rear garden. The rear garden, known as a place of rest for the kings, was kept as natural as possible; touched by human hands only when absolutely necessary. Before attending the Korean food feast with the locals, we will drink in the history by taking a walk around Bukchon Hanok Village seeing several traditional Hanok homes. Next we will visit Insadong street and then move to Gwangjang Food Market, the nation’s first market and continues to thrive as a popular tourist destination today. As the last stop of the day, Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) has a meaning of Dream, Design, and Play. It holds various exhibitions, fashion shows, forums, conferences, and other domestic and international events.
DAY 3. Andong : Mask it up
After having your breakfast at hotel, you will get an early pick-up in the morning and transfered to Andong to visit Hahoe Village. Hahoe Village is home to descendants of the Ryu clan of Pungsan and is well-known for its traditional houses. Hahoe Village, was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List under the category of “Historic Villages in Korea” on July 31, 2010. Before you getting far too fascinated by the breathtaking scenery the Hahoe village offers, we will depart for Gyeongju and make stop at Anapji pond. Anapji means "Goose and Duck Lake."It was originally constructed in February 674 during the reign of Munmu, the 30th king of Silla. After the tour, you will check in the hotel and overnight in Gyeongju.
DAY 4. Gyeongju : Time Travel
Today we will be visiting Gyeongju, ancient capital of the Shilla Dynasty (57BC - 935AD) and the first dynasty to unite the Korean peninsula. Gyeongju is home to no fewer than three UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The magnificent Buddhist monastery Bulguksa temple will be your first destination, followed by Seokguram Grotto. Later we will visit Daereungwon, also known as Tumuli Park, tranquil home of 23 tombs. After the Gyeongju tour, we will depart for Busan. After arrival, we will make stop at ibagu gill and Gwangandaegyo Bridge, where you can enjoy the night view of Busan
DAY 5. Busan : Ocean B-ibe (Back to Seoul at night)
Today, we will explore Busan, Korea’s second largest city with its largest port. Travel to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, situated on the coast of the north-eastern portion of Busan. This superb attraction offers visitors the rare find of a temple along the shore line; most temples in Korea are located in the mountains. Next we wil move to Gamcheon Culture Villiage which is formed by houses built in staircase-fashion on the foothills of a coastal mountain, earning this village the nickname of "Machu Picchu of Busan." The many alleys cutting through this community are vibrantly decorated with murals and sculptures created by the residents. No visit to Busan is complete without a stop at the traditional Gukje International Market, followed by an exciting exploration of the enormous Jalgalchi Fish Market. Both markets teem with fascinating products and are a great way to glimpse local life. After a whole day tour in Busan, get back to the hotel in time to have sufficient time to get rested for the tour on the following day.
DAY 6. Tongyeong : Naples of Orient
After hotel check out, we will transfer to Tongyeong via Geoga Bridge. Tongyeong is known as the Naples of the Orient minus the volcano and has been home to many respected artists, poets, writers and composers. Situated in Tongyeong, Mireuksan mountain (461m) is home to ancient temples and provides a breathtaking view of the sea and nearby islands. A 2km cable car, the longest in Korea, is available for those who wish to minimize walking. Next, we move to Dongpirang Village. Thanks to the participants' paintings, this hillside village on the sea became a new place, revitalized by the art. The view overlooking sea of Gangguan Port is fantastic as well. Afterward, you will be transfered to Yeosu for overnight stay.
DAY 7. Suncheon : Inner Peace Festival
Get up early in the morning, to visit Suncheonman Bay Wetland Reserve is home to the biggest colony of reeds in Korea. In addition, Suncheonman Bay National Garden has recently been designated as Korea’s first national garden thanks to the overwhelming number of tourists who visit here to appreciate the scene. Next, we will move to Naganeupseong Folk Village to observe the daily dwellings indigenous to the south provincial area such as the kitchen area, the clay rooms, and Korean-style verandas. Before we depart for Namwon, we will have stop at Songgwangsa Temple where many high monks were produced. Transfer to Namwon and stay overnight.
DAY 8. Damyang & Jeonju : Find Your Right Way
After breakfast, we continue our journey to Damyang and if time allows we will take stop at Sunchang Village. In Damyang you will have a chance to go through Juknokwon Bamboo Garden featuring a beautiful artificial waterfall, pavilion, walking paths and an eco-exhibition center, a popular destination for visitors. Then If you follow National Road No. 15 up from the Bamboo Museum, you’ll come across a beautiful and exotic boulevard that looks like it is came straight out of a fairytale. This unearthly place is the Metasequoia-lined Road. Feel free to stop your car along the roadside to take a walk among these 10 to 20-meter-tall trees and breathe their fresh scent. Bicycling along this route and appreciating its real beauty at a leisurely pace is also highly recommended. Afterward, transfer to Jeonju and stay overnight there.
DAY 9. Seoul : Back to Seoul
Transfer to Seoul from Jeonju > Free time at leisure > Overnight in Seoul
Day10. ICN Airport : Farewell Friends
